These terms cover your use of roundflow.cx and the RoundFlow app ("RoundFlow," "we," "us"), operated by Robert Lebeda. By creating an account or using RoundFlow, you agree to these terms. If you're under 18, a parent, guardian, or your school should be aware you're using it — see Section 8.
RoundFlow is a debate-flowing tool: it helps you take structured notes ("flow") during a debate round, organized by speech and format. It's provided as-is, and we're a small, independently-run project, not a large company — see Section 9 for what that means for guarantees.
You can use the core flowing board without an account. Creating an account (Student, Educator, or Parent) unlocks saved settings, gating tiers, rosters, and paid features. You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for anything that happens under your account. Give us accurate information when you sign up — in particular, an email address you actually control, since it's how we'd reach you about your account or a billing issue.
RoundFlow's core flowing board, all five formats, and most features are free for every account type. Paid plans (currently $5/month for Parent accounts, $2/month for Student/Educator accounts) add custom colors, unlimited Preflow pages and links, real-time co-editing, an ad-free experience, case-file upload, and offline download. Paid subscriptions are billed and processed through Stripe. You can cancel anytime; a canceled subscription stays active through the end of the period you already paid for, then drops back to Free.
Student accounts get a 7-day trial of paid features automatically at signup, no card required. Parent and Educator accounts can start a 7-day trial by starting checkout, which does collect a card up front — if you don't cancel before the trial ends, it converts automatically into a paid subscription and your card is charged. Each account gets one trial.
Use RoundFlow for its intended purpose — flowing and preparing for debate rounds. Don't: use it to store or upload content you don't have the right to use (for example, a case file that isn't yours to upload); try to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service; use an Educator roster to collect information about students beyond what the feature is meant for; or use the service in a way that's illegal or that impersonates someone else. We can suspend or terminate an account that violates this section.
You own the flows, arguments, and case files you create or upload in RoundFlow. By using features that send content to our servers (case upload, Send to teacher), you give us permission to store and process that content only as needed to provide the feature — we don't claim ownership of it, and we don't use it for anything beyond running the service (see the Privacy Policy for the full detail on what's stored where).
If you're a Student joining an Educator's roster, understand that content you send via "Send to teacher" becomes visible to that roster's Educator. If you're an Educator, you're responsible for how you use student submissions consistent with your own school's policies.
RoundFlow's Student accounts are commonly used by people under 18. If you're under the age required to agree to these terms on your own where you live, use RoundFlow only with the involvement of a parent, guardian, or your school, and see the Privacy Policy's Section 7 for how student data is handled.
RoundFlow is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times — this is a small, independently-run tool, not an enterprise product with an uptime commitment. Back up anything important to you using Copy/Import or Download for offline.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RoundFlow and its operator aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including lost data, lost time, or a round that didn't go your way. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim.
You can stop using RoundFlow and delete your account at any time by contacting us. We can suspend or terminate an account that violates Section 5, or discontinue the service entirely with reasonable notice on the site.
If we change these terms in a material way, we'll update the "last updated" date above and make a reasonable effort to note it on the site. Continuing to use RoundFlow after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Not legal advice: these terms are written to be genuinely clear about how RoundFlow actually works, not drafted or reviewed by a lawyer. A proper legal review — especially of the liability, billing/trial, and student-data sections — is worth doing before RoundFlow is used at any real scale, particularly by schools.
